I am Deborah Ann Meidinger Hosey running for the U.S House of Representative for Florida’s 26th Congression District located within Broward and Miami-Dade County.

My mission is to unite our communities for the common good while serving with integrity, accountability, and unwavering dedication. I am committed to protecting individual freedoms, ensuring fair and just opportunities, promoting responsible governance, and placing our country’s priorities above the interests of any political party.

I believe we must remain true to our nation’s founding purpose — a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Together, we can confront the real‑life challenges that threaten survivability, sustainability, affordability, and long‑term financial stability for individuals and families. We must also ensure that legislative safeguards protect historical, factual, and scientific information so that policies are thoughtful and grounded in evidence.

I believe in elevating quality education, including childcare, support for individuals with different abilities, vocational training, and college pathways that lead to career advancement. Access to affordable healthcare for all ages is essential to maintaining quality of life.

I support the right of individuals to make personal choices that do not impede the rights or safety of others, while respecting the ability to honor and celebrate family, heritage, culture, and traditions that shape our communities.

I believe in operating a fiscally sound, transparent, and accountable government — one that invests responsibly, reduces deficit spending, and reinvests savings into programs that improve quality of life. Our shared priorities include advancing research that leads to medical breakthroughs, innovations, sustainable energy, balanced climate solutions, environmental health, and maintaining reliable food and water supplies.

I also recognize the importance of maintaining a strong defense, ensuring safe and secure borders, revising legislation to create clear pathways to lawful citizenship, and elevating the quality of life for children, seniors, military personnel, veterans, and vulnerable populations.
